Frightened dictator promises to “bash”

Lukashenka called the protesting Belarusians “ordinary speculators”.

The Belarusian dictator said the authorities would not allow any strikes, including unauthorized actions on state borders.

“These ‘conscious’ (the opposition – Interfax) call on strikes in Minsk by means of social network on the Internet and organize strikes on borders. I will keep an eye on this, monitor this, but then I will bash them so that they won’t have time to flee abroad,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted during his working visit to the Minsk region on Tuesday, Interfax reports.

“The organize strikes (on the border with Poland – Interfax), because they were not allowed to export fuel, cigarettes, and other products for a song. Such persons used to be called speculators. They are speculators, indeed,” the Belarusian ruler noted.

According to him, “this is the so called market economy”. “This does not exist anywhere, but they try to impose this market here,” Lukashenka noted. “Am I supposed to tolerate this?” according to him, “you must go here, on this field…” – “and work,” the director of a local agricultural company completed dictator’s phrase.

“We need to cut spending and save. But we should not tighten belts, as our “conscious” teach. You need not tighten anything. You should work as you have worked before, but you must decrease production cost by 30-33%,” Lukashenka said.
