Next week PACE Committee to hold hearings on Belarus

Next week at the upcoming spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) a sub-committee is to hold hearings on the situation in Belarus.

It has been said to journalists on Friday by the head of the Russian mission to the PACE Konstantin Kosachev, RIA Novosti informs.

“Representatives of the Belarusian opposition are to take part in the upcoming hearings,” Kosachev said. As expected, the hearings are to start on Tuesday before midday.

At the last winter session the PACE adopted a decision to freeze all contacts with the Belarusian leadership after the December events in the country.
