OSCE chairman concerned about Belarus’s growing self-isolation

Belarus is becoming a more and more closed country, OSCE Chairman, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis thinks.

“I see Belarus tending to become even more isolated in the course of time. This affects not only the country’s leadership, but also people there,” Azubalis said Tuesday at a conference in University of Vilnius, Interfax-Zapad reports.

He said he regretted the fact that Minsk did not approve the OSCE activity in Belarus. “We ask Belarus again and again to change its mind. The country refuses. I regret that the authorities do not approve OSCE staying in Minsk,” the minister said.
