Father and elder brother of perpetrator of Minsk terrorist attack detained

The Belarusian Minister of Internal Affairs, Anatoly Kulyashou, confirms that the father and elder brother of the perpetrator of the terrorist act in Minsk metro have been detained and taken to a detention facility.

The Interior Minister said this on Monday at an online press conference on the website of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company, Interfax-Zapad reports.

“Yes, we have them, the father and elder brother. But a decision on choosing a further measure of restraint will be taken by an investigator, the head of the investigation team. They may be released on their own recognizance or left in custody. They are in a detention facility so far,” Kulyashou explained.
