Goebbels TV not registered in Belarus

The Belarusian TV and Radio Company litigates against “Narodnaya Volya” newspaper. The pro-Lukashenka TV channel offended at an article by deputy editor Svyatlana Kalinkina titled “Goebbels TV is speaking and showing” dedicated to the film “The Square. Iron against Glass”.

The journalist metaphorically described the Belarusian official TV channel (BT) as Goebbels TV.

As Svyatlana Kalinkina told “Nasha Niva” newspaper, BT had absurd arguments. Representatives of the official TV channel said that their institution was called National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus and that Goebbels TV was not registered in Belarus.

It was reported on March 15 that the Ministry of Information issued a warning to the newspaper. The staff hasn’t received any official documents yet.
