Kobryn police “congratulated” Natallya Radzina on Freedom Day

  • 25.03.2011, 10:03

At 8 in the morning today, a district police officer visited the house, where editor of charter97.org Natallya Radzina lives under a ban to leave the town.

The police officer advised Natallya Radzina to stay at home during the day, because a KGB investigator would visit her. It’s unclear why KGB investigators need to visit Radzina at home. Maybe they are coming to celebrate Freedom Day? Or Do law-enforcement officers think that the journalist can go to Minsk to cover an opposition rally in spite of a ban to leave the town?

We remind that Natallya Radzina has to live in Kobryn. She is forbidden to leave the town. On January 28, she was released from a KGB jail after she had spent more than a month there. The journalist is charged with organizing and taking aprt in “mass riot”. She may face up to 15 years in prison.
