An exhibition of “Pahonya” creative association has been opened today in Minsk. On the day before, six artistic works were removed from the items on display for ideology reasons.

National symbols – a white-red-white flag or Pahonya ensign – were depicted at five items. And the paining by Marachkin “Phantoms (Victors)” is dedicated to the events of December 19, 2010.

Who has played the role of censors? “The leadership of the Union of Artists,” Alyaksei Marachkin said.

He has not mentioned the names. The organization is headed by Uladzimir Savich. His assistants are Syarhei Tsimokhau and Ryhor Sitnitsa.

The exhibition is dated to the 20th anniversary of “Pahonya” association. It includes works of such artists as Batalyonak, Drazdou, Nazarchuk, Markavets, Kupava, Tsyrkunou and others. The exhibition will last till March 27 in the Palace of Arts in Minsk (Kazlou Str, 3).
