Jude Law supports political prisoners

Famous British actor Jude Law signed postcards for Belarusian political prisoners.

The Belarus Free Theatre launched a campaign to support of political prisoners on January 5, 2011, after the first performance since the December 19 presidential elections. In the legendary La MaMa Theatre, actors asked American spectators to sign postcards for political prisoners in Belarusian jails. Thousands of postcards from the whole world, New York, Chicago, Hong Kong, Lublin, London, Nottingham, Turin, Edinburgh, have been sent to political prisoners.

Scores of world movie, theatre and music stars, such as Kevin Spacey, Jude Law, Tom Stoppard, Kevin Kline, Laurie Anderson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ed Harris, George Clooney and others, have joined the campaign to morally support political prisoners.

Since May 2011, all actions organized by the Belarus Free Theatre have been held as part of the campaign Free Belarus Now.

Prominent British actor Jude Law continued the campaign of solidarity with political prisoner and sent them postcards with words of support last week.
