Sannikov is not in Vitsebsk penal colonies

The Corrections Department in the Vitsebsk region denies presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov is in one of penal colonies of the Vitsebsk region.

“Belorusski Partizan” has learnt it from Platform civil initiative for observing prisoners’ rights.

Acting chief of the Corrections Department Pratsenka has said today that the politician was transferred to a penal colony in the Vitsebsk region. However, Sannikov has not been found in colonies NrNr 13, 10, 8 and 3.

The special department of penal colony Nr 2, where the political prisoner has served his term until recently, refuses to say on the phone why and where the politician was transferred.
