Tom Stoppard: Courageous Belarusians confront dictatorship and violence

A famous British playwright Tom Stoppard comments on the death of a journalist Aleh Byabenin in Belarus. He knew Aleh personally.

“The shocking event of the death of Aleh Byabenin (Oleg Bebenin) should remind every friend of freedom and justice, whether inside or outside Belarus, that the confrontation of dictatorship by democracy is the confrontation of violence by courageous individuals.
