Five people detained for the attack on RF Embassy in Minsk have been released

Six people are remaining in custody.

Five suspects detained on September, 3 in connection with the case of the attack on RF Embassy in Minsk have been released from the prison in Akrestin Street on Sunday, “Radio Racyja” reports.

On September, 12 Anton Laptyanok, Ihar Bahachak, Siarhei Slyusar, Valeriya Khotina and Alyaksei Zhinherousky left the remand prison. Nobody has been arraigned.

Among those who are remaining in the remand prison are - an environmentalist Uladzimir Valodzin, Nikalai Dzyadok, Alyaksandr Frantskevich, Tatsiana Semyanishchava, Alyaksandr Bugayeu a member of the “Right Alliance” Ihar Chapiha. The leader of the organization Yury Karetnikau is waiting for Ihar’s release on Tuesday:

“The detention term of Chapiha was prolonged for three days, for 72 hours more. He should have been released on Saturday evening. From my experience, they can count the term from the moment of the search, or from the moment, when one is charged with something. The release may take place at 5 o’clock or even later”, - Yury Karetnikau said.

Ihar Chapiha was detained at his apartment on September, 8. On September, 10 the activist had his birthday, and he had to spend this day in prison.
