“Novy Chas” newspaper gets warning from Ministry of Information

The paper is charged with not printing the patronymic of the editor and a bar code in the imprints.

A republican body of the mass media management wasn’t mentions, which also was considered a violation.

Paper’s editor Alyaksei Karol told Radio Svaboda only a few state-run newspaper print patronymics of their editors. According to Karol, all state-run district newspapers do not have bar codes.

According to the editor, the warning is connected with the forthcoming presidential elections.

By the way, a public distributor, who was found copies of “Novy Chas” newspaper in his car, is to stand trial in Hrodna on June 14. Militiamen wrote down in a report that he made an “attempt of distribution”.
