Officials state the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus hasn’t received any official documents regarding the case of the ousted president of Kyrgyzstan.

Journalists learnt this from Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich on May 18.

According to him, a request on extradition of Kurmanbek Bakiyev was received by fax. It says that supplementary 18 pages of materials will be sent to Belarus by mail, BelaPAN reports.

Kurmanbek Bakiyev has been in Belarus since April 19. On May 4, head of the interim government Roza Otunbayeva signed a decree stripping Bakiyev off presidential immunity on the ground of the criminal case accusing the deposed president of organizing killings and abuse of power.
