Witnesses in the case of Autukhovich continue to deny accusations against the businessman from Vaukavysk.

As Radio Svaboda reports, on March 30, witness Mikhail Savelyeu, head of the Vaukavysk district executive committee in the mid 2000’s, was questioned in the Supreme Court at the trial over Mikalai Autukhovich and other persons accused of preparation of a terroristic act.

Witness Mikhail Savelyeu had often meetings with businessman Mikalai Autukhovich at that time. He visited the office of Nika-trans in 2004, when Autukhovich and his colleagues were on hunger strike protesting against pressure by local authorities and taxation bodies. Uladzimir Sauchanka, the head of the Hrodna region executive committee, was present at the meeting, too.

Witness Savelyeu said he knows Autukhovich as an intelligent person and noted Autukhovich had never threatened him. Suachanka also added he hadn’t heard Mikalay Autukhovich threatening Sauchanka or other officials. Autukhovich reminded Savelyeu that his taxis had been arrested five days after his arrest without a decision on his complaint. Mikhail Savelyeu said it had been decided by other bodies and he hadn’t been responsible for those events.

We remind that all witness in the case of Autukhovich say about pressure by investigators, deny their previous evidences and say the entrepreneur from Vaukavysk is not guilty.
