A trilateral meeting of the Chiefs of General Staffs of Military Forces of Belarus, Poland and Ukraine took place in Brest on September 4-5.

Belarus, Poland and Ukraine plan to create a common system of air space security, BelTA was told by the spokesperson of the Defense Ministry of Belarus Vyachaslau Ramenchyk.

“Issues of increasing trust between the military agencies of the three countries were discussed. A plan of joint actions for the near future was discussed, including creation of a common system of air space security system, cooperation at the level of engineer organizations for ammunition disposition,” Vyachaslau Ramenchyk said.

As noted by participants of the meeting, such an event is held for the first time. The Ukrainian side offered to make this event into the standing format, to make a separate document on that, and hold next meetings in Kyiv and Warsaw. “The Chiefs of General Staffs of Military Forces of Belarus, Poland and Ukraine have supported this initiative,” the interlocutor explained.
